TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF:
I’m Kate I’m from the Cotswolds originally, I lived in London and Paris, where I married my husband and where we had our children.
My skills are pretty varied – originally a marketeer, I worked for 12 years in healthcare marketing, I went on to become a lecturer at one of the Grandes Ecoles in Paris, before joining ECR to manage projects with the Mairie de Paris and SNCF national rail network in 2014. I moved back to the UK in 2015.
DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS:
Effective/ Focused/ Diligent
YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT AT WORK:
The moment we are notified of every new contract award really. It is always a wonderful feeling after all the huge efforts that go into getting to that point. That never diminishes.
WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING AT ECR:
We have a truly excellent product that I believe in 100%. I am also confident in our ability to fill any gaps and continue getting better and better.
HIDDEN TALENT
I love to play the piano and I like to cook and bake. I used to make wedding cakes. Finding time is another matter though!
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKENDS
On a Saturday I am usually on the hockey pitch by 8.30am with my daughter. She is the player mind you! Saturday evenings are family pizza nights and we cook outside. Sunday mornings are a lot slower thankfully.
FAVOURITE BAND
Impossible to say really, certainly nothing from the 2000’s. Maybe Blondie.
FAVOURITE SONG
Anything I can sing along with!
FAVOURITE FILM
There are way too many to choose just the one and it depends on my mood!
FAVOURITE BOOK
I have just finished The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro, which I really enjoyed. I read a lot – no way I could pick an overall winner!
FAVOURITE HOLIDAY
I would have to say Paris – it’s just such a beautiful city. I lived there for many years so it’s a very special place to me.
